Florida Polytechnic University International Student Handbook

Welcome to Florida Polytechnic University and Lakeland, Florida! We are honored that you have chosen to study at Florida Poly and look forward to creating a great academic experience here with you. This handbook was created as a resource for International Students and designed to be used with the Florida Polytechnic University Student Handbook, which provides additional information about campus resources, student life, and University procedures. Both books will be your guides to Florida Polytechnic University and contain important and valuable information, designed to help you learn more about the university, city, and what you can expect   All efforts have been made to provide useful and current information; if you need help or have a question that is not answered in this handbook, please reach out to International Student Services (ISS) at ISS@floridapoly.edu for additional information and resources.

We understand how moving to a new country and starting classes at a new school is never easy, but we hope that we can provide you with enough information to make the transition as smooth as possible. Good luck in all your endeavors, and we wish you the best in your studies at Florida Poly!

About International Student Services

We are excited that you have selected Florida Polytechnic University to achieve your educational and professional goals. ISS is comprised of the Offices of Academic Affairs, Admissions, Diversity, Student Affairs, and the University Registrar. Each department collaborates to support the immigration, academic, and cultural experience of all Florida Poly international students, and to assist with interpreting immigration regulations and university policies for studying in the United States (U.S.). Services include assistance with the enrollment process, immigration advising, travel and employment authorizations, cultural programs to assist students with adjusting to life in the U.S. and at Florida Poly, new student orientation and training courses.
