CEN 4033 - Secure Software Engineering


Credits: 3

Course Description: This course aims to introduce students to object-oriented software engineering, secure software development life cycle, security requirements, secure software design, and secure coding and testing principles. It is designed to give students practical experience with building a software system and securing it.

 

*Prior to catalog year 2022-23 offered as CEN 4010: Software Engineering (equivalent) & Catalog year 2022-23 as CEN 3033: Software Engineering*

 
Prerequisites: Computer Science, Data Science, and Computer Engineering Programs: (COP 3415 - Data Structures  or COP 3530 - Data Structures & Algorithms ) or CEN 3820 - System Analysis and Design  

Cybersecurity Program:  COP 3337 - Object Oriented Programming  
Co-requisite or Prerequisite: Cybersecurity Program:  COP 3530 - Data Structures & Algorithms
