1. Certificate is 12-credits. 6-credits of humanities, social-sciences general education (transfer or native) may be applied to the certificate.
2. Students must take 6-credits (at least one 3000-level or higher and one 4000-level course) from among the certificate offerings to complete the requirements. Requirements must be earned in residence.
3. Students who have completed 3 AHSS courses at the 2000-level, may elect to take a 3000-level course to fulfill general education and applied it toward the certificate. This course does not substitute for the upper-division 6 credit requirement; rather, it replaces one of the required 12 credits of general education humanities or social science.
