Students should complete ENC 1101 - English Composition 1: Expository and Argumentative Writing  prior to additional writing-intensive courses.

Note:

Courses that satisfy the above state requirements are subject to change. Students should check with an academic advisor for the most up-to-date information.

A grade of C or higher is required for all coursework meeting the above requirements.

One or more of the above courses taken by transfer students at another Florida institution will have these courses counted toward the state college-level writing skills requirements, only if the course was so designated at the institution where the course was taken.

Communication and Computation Skills credit from Florida state universities and Florida College System institutions will be accepted in transfer for courses that are designated by those institutions as meeting the state requirements
