Course Description: THIS COURSE PROVIDES STUDENTS WITH AN UNDERSTANDING OF FINANCIAL CONCEPTS AND MODELING. THEY WILL LEARN HOW TO READ FINANCIAL STATEMENTS, TRACK EXPENSES, AND ANALYZE FINANCIAL DATA. ADDITIONALLY, THEY WILL GAIN KNOWLEDGE OF OTHER IMPORTANT TECHNIQUES SUCH AS COST-VOLUME-PROFIT ANALYSIS, BUDGETING, AND PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT. PARTICIPANTS WILL UNDERSTAND HOW TO USE FINANCIAL INFORMATION TO MAKE INFORMED DECISIONS, EVALUATE INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES, AND IMPROVE ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE. THROUGH THIS COURSE, STUDENTS WILL DEVELOP THE SKILL SET NECESSARY TO COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY WITH ACCOUNTING AND FINANCIAL PROFESSIONALS, WHICH IS ESSENTIAL IN MANAGING ENGINEERING PROJECTS.
