CEG 3101 - Foundation Analysis and Design

Credits: 3

Course Description: Introduction to shear strength-based design of foundations and structures in geotechnical engineering. Topics covered include bearing capacity and settlement of shallow foundations, deep foundations, earth retaining structures and slope stability, and testing and analysis of soil for shear strength.
Prerequisites: CEG 3011C - Soil Mechanics
