COT 5272 - Computation Theory


Credits: 3

Course Description: This course is a theoretical study focusing on the three major theories of computations that consist of the theory of automata, the theory of formal languages, and the theory of Turing machines. Students will learn the advanced skills of creating mathematical models to describe the parts and types of computational machines as well as the analysis of limitations on a machine. 
Prerequisites: Graduate Standing
