Suntrax

Located off of I-4 in Auburndale, SunTrax is designed to be a large-scale, cutting-edge facility dedicated to the research, development and testing of emerging transportation technologies in safe and controlled environments. Upon completion, the 400-acre site will include a 2.25-mile long oval track, which will provide an opportunity for high-speed testing, along with a 200-acre infield that will allow for the testing of a multitude of different technologies. Many of the opportunities are related to tolling, ITS, and automated and connected vehicles. Additionally, the entire site will be a connected environment for the testing of Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) communications.

Florida Industrial and Phosphate Research Institute

The Florida Industrial and Phosphate Research Institute (FIPR Institute) supports phosphate-related studies to improve the environment, protect public health and increase mining and processing efficiency. Staff biologists, engineers and chemists also conduct in-house research, and the Institute supports some non-phosphate topics such as energy and the mining and processing of other minerals.

Advanced Mobility Institute (AMI)

AMI, or the Advanced Mobility Institute, is in development with the intention of becoming the premier center for applied research, development, and testing of autonomous vehicle related technology.
