EEL 4287 - Renewable Energy Systems and Power Electronics Credits: 3
Prerequisites: EEL3135 - Systems and Signals, and EEL 4251 - Power System Analysis. Course Description: This course covers an overview of renewable energy systems with emphasis of the applications in photovoltaic sources and wind power. Also includes the design considerations of power electronics and control for grid-connected systems. The use of Mathlab-Simulink software tool for evaluating renewable energy and power electronics converters for grid-connected systems.
