AST 3222 - Introduction to Astrophysics Credits: 3
Course Description: This course uses the tools of astronomy to develop an understanding of astrophysical processes. Fundamental observation techniques and an understanding of interactions with light are discussed. The course also discusses our solar system, tidal forces, planetary atmospheres, planets, moons, ring structures, and other minor celestial bodies. Prerequisites: PHY 3101 - Modern Physics and PHY 3221 - Classical Mechanics
