Engineering (ME)

The Engineering profession covers a wide spectrum of subject areas that ranges from nano-scale to industrial-scale application. It includes engines, robotics, information technology, electro-mechanical systems, motion intelligence, and others. Florida Poly’s Master of Science in Engineering (ME) degree provides cutting edge research opportunities to students using state-of-the-art experimental or computational research facilities under the close supervision of a faculty member(s). The College of Engineering will have research strengths in diverse areas addressing present day challenges, as well as developing technologies for the future. The College will offer graduate research in different areas such as: Digital Logic Design, Embedded System Design, Machine Intelligence, Control Systems, Digital & Hybrid Systems, Electrodynamics, Magnetics, Semiconductors, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing, Motion Intelligence, Multifunctional Materials and Nanotechnology.

Upon completion of the Master of Science in Engineering Degree in the College of Engineering, students will be able to:

  • Identify, formulate and solve engineering problems.
  • Apply analysis of user requirements to design engineering based solutions.
  • Research capabilities for identification, evaluation and implementation of current technologies and consider their application to address individual and organizational needs.
