Course Description: This is the first in a series of two introductory courses on the applications of Physics in Biology and Medicine. It discusses applications of classical mechanics, hydrodynamics, and thermodynamics to motion and the structure of musculoskeletal system, the respiratory system and the circulatory system, as well as to the biology of cell. Prerequisites: PHY 2049 - Physics 2 and PHY 2049L - Physics 2 Laboratory
