MAC 2313 - Analytic Geometry and Calculus 3 Credits: 4
Course Description: An introduction to the theory and application of differentiation and integration of multivariate functions. Topics include surfaces in three-dimensional space, tangent planes, linear approximation, contour plots, vectors and vector-valued functions, parametric equations, partial derivatives, directional derivatives, the gradient vector, double and triple integrals. Applications may include optimization, Lagrange multipliers, and line and surface integrals involving work and flux. Prerequisites: Letter grade of C or higher in MAC 2312 - Analytic Geometry and Calculus 2
