Bachelor of Science, Environmental Engineering (Program Description)


Program Educational Objectives

Graduates are expected to be prepared with a solid and competitive foundation and professional skills that are essential in today’s workforce with the diversity and ever-evolving role of environmental engineers. Graduates are expected to be known for their accomplishments and attain the following within a few years of graduation.

1. Ability to purposefully apply the fundamental concepts of mathematics, science, technology, and mechanical engineering to solve real life problems of societal, global, environmental, and economic consequence.

2. Achieve professional success cultivating collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and constituencies through their technical knowledge, communication abilities, and leadership skills.

3. Demonstrate career development as adaptive and independent professionals with an ethical responsibility to self and society that pursue opportunities in professional licensure, industry-related trainings, advanced degrees, and as liaisons that implement and comply with regulations.

The B.S. in Environmental Engineering applies principles from all of the natural sciences (physics, chemistry, geology, and biology) to help you tackle interconnected challenges as they relate to water, energy, air quality, and related fields.
