Co-requisite or Prerequisite: EGN 3365 - Structure and Properties of Materials Course Description: This course introduces the fundamental workings of a variety of manufacturing processes. Analysis of a manufacturing process, its capabilities, typical applications, and its advantages and limitations focuses on production of simple and complex components. The topics highlighted in this course are; material selection, measurement and quality control, non destructive inspection techniques/ evaluation (NDT/ NDE), material removal using conventional and non traditional machining processes, casting, forming, joining, and the integration of these techniques into a manufacturing system.
